Ah good. I’ve seen some messed up stuff on the intertnet, but suddenly seeing something hurt just for training purposes was a little bit of a shock, even with the warning. I mean, if I had to kill it myself to eat it, that’s fine, I won’t make an emotional connection with it. But if I don’t designate it food right off, then it starts gaining personality. live tissue means just that, live tissue. the thing you saw writhing and bleeding everywhere was not a fake training aid, it is indeed a live pig. they are sedated first and everything though its not like they go out with machetes and hack up a bunch of pigs.

What exactly does “live tissue application” mean? Do they, like, cut a pig really deeply or something so the medics can train? Just wondering, cause the bleeding and even the movement of the undamaged flesh “looked real”.

Absolutely! There are many great retailers out there that stock Combat Gauze. If you have the funds carry two of these and ditch the Kerlix, and any other Hemostatic Agents you carried.

Is this available for civilian purchase? If so, this would be a must have for an IFAK.
