I spent 3 years working as a high rise window cleaner and the clove hitch was one of our primary knots. It&#039;s a great load bearing knot (There is a way to add another knot with the working end into a twist in the running end ((*I think my terminology&#039;s correct))), we used to use it for tying off our &quot;Ride&quot; line. Never failed. Kind of scary to see you say &quot;So whatever you’re temporarily tying in to an anchor, make sure it’s not yourself.&quot; That was the way we were taught, wish I would&#039;ve been taught more rope work when I served.</description>
