If you haven’t heard about the Bushmaster ACR (Adaptive Combat Rifle) transition over to the Remington ACR, we implore you to catch up with this excellent post from our friends at Soldier Systems.

In addition to a few killer photos, Drake Clark from Magpul has posted a few noteworthy updates recently at AR15.com.

Clark ensures that everything is moving along well and they’re working had to ensure the ACR is everything the public expects, and that the ACR continues to be a front-burner project.

He also noted to keep in mind, that recently some other small arms have needed an 8-year development time table, and that when the ACR is ready to move forward Remington and Bushmaster will be too.

I still think the name Magpul gave it was better. Masada. Just sounds pretty cool.

There’s a lot of history behind the word Masada, look into it if you have some time. Also the Massoud, their latest .308 rifle named after Ahmad Shah Massoud. The history behind their names a nice touch.
