Warming Up with Weatherneck & Thoughts on Sports Tourniquets – Gear Tasting 64

Today on Gear Tasting, Bryan showcases a re-designed bungee cord with a stronger attachment method and highlights a new breakaway balaclava called the Weatherneck, from the creator of Fix It Sticks.

Additionally, Bryan discusses adding adapters to his Sordin Electronic Hearing Protection to mount them directly to a helmet. Finally, he answers a Question Over Coffee on the use of “sports tourniquets” and explains why we recently upgraded our EDC Kit to feature a full sized tourniquet.

In each episode of Gear Tasting, Imminent Threat Solutions Editor-in-Chief Bryan Black answers your gear-related questions and shares his insight into what we’re currently evaluating at ITS HQ.

For the Sara, if you trim the loop on the ends of the headband wire you can plug the headband into the SARA and still use it as a head band mounted ear pro. A little time to swap back and forth but works well if you need to do that.
