Staff Sgt. Robert J. Miller Posthumously Awarded the Medal of Honor Today

By The ITS Crew

President Obama will posthumously award the Medal of Honor to Staff Sgt. Robert J. Miller today, for “exceptionally valorous conduct” during an Afghanistan combat reconnaissance patrol with ODA 3312 on January 25th, 2008.

Please take a few moments out of your day to honor SSG Miller by visiting the U.S. Army’s Website they’ve put together to tell his story, despite what the mainstream media may be covering today.

Lo there do I see my father. Lo there do I see my mother and my sisters and my brothers. Lo there do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning. Lo, they do call to me, they bid me take my place among them, in the Halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live…forever.

    Rest in peace my brother.

God’s speed Sergeant Miler, your county thanks you and your Father awaits, so may lay down arms with peace and honor.

Without this site, I would have never known about this. Why? because the media was using all the oxygen to decry the fact that someone called the president a Jackass! (Oh, my!) We have our standards so upside down. The “elite” look down upon men such as this, and are not even worthy to lick the bottom of their boots. God speed and God bless, SSG Miller.

I am a sophomore in high school writing an essay on your actions. It’s about courage and bravery and damn you are the definition. Rest in peace Robert Miller.
