We had a fantastic turnout at our ITS organized BUYcott event at Starbucks this morning! It was great to see so many people come out to support the 2nd Amendment and have a cup of coffee with us. Our peaceful hang out even had the Hurst Police Department come by to see how things were going.
When we first showed up at Starbucks this morning (with our Guns and Coffee Patches on of course), they weren’t all that receptive to our presence as you’ll see in the video below. They marked all of our $2 bills to see if they were counterfeit and wouldn’t accept the majority of them. As you can also see in our photos, our bills were perfectly legit, even verified as such by the officers that showed up.
It’s tough to support a company that seems to not want to be supported, at least at the Starbucks on Pipeline and 820 in Ft. Worth, TX. As mentioned, the Police showed up with a report that we were “demonstrating” outside, when all of the roughly 20 of us were doing is standing around talking and drinking coffee.
The officer also laughed when we showed him the $2 bills the improperly trained Starbucks employees had marked up. They tried to say that the ink smears on fake $2 bills, as it was on our “newly printed” $2 bills. Despite me trying to say that it’s smearing because it’s new ink and that it turns black when a counterfeit detector pen is used to mark on it. Starbucks obviously needs to train these employees better at this location.
It was great to have the support of the local Police and they all enjoyed the ITS patches and stickers we handed them; the first officer that walked up gave us a triumphant fist in the air and a “I’m with you guys.”
Thanks to everyone that showed up to support the BUYcott, including the guys from Chosen Tactical and Lone Star Medics. Even if the employees didn’t seem to want the support, they’ll at least remember why we were there. I’m continuously humbled by all the awesome people who have helped ITS grow into all that it is and I can’t wait for the next meet up (that may be misinterpreted as a demonstration!)

Three things that you need to be doing this Valentine’s Day, other than remembering flowers and chocolates are to Grab $2 bills from your bank, your Guns & Coffee Patch from OP Tactical and head down to your local Starbucks to support the “BUYcott” for Starbucks Appreciation Day.
To participate in the Starbucks Appreciation Day, the call-out is to grab a few $2 bills (which justly portrays the signing of the Declaration of Independence on the reverse of the $2 bill) and head to Starbucks on Valentine’s Day to buy a few cups of coffee. Even if you can’t source $2 bills from your bank, make your presence known!
On February 14th, the ITS Crew will be at the Starbucks here in Ft. Worth off Hwy. 820 and Pipline Rd. from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. enjoying a cup of coffee paid for with $2 bills. Come out and meet up with us, we’ll have some swag with us to pass out too!

We’d like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our newest sponsor, Lock-n-Load Java, a veteran owned and operated coffee company that we know you’re going to like as much as we do.
ITS Tactical HQ has been fueled by Lock-n-Load Java for some time now and it’s some of the best coffee we’ve ever had. After trying our first bag of “Charlie Don’t Surf,” we were hooked and the Starbucks went into the circular file. Honestly, how can you not love a coffee company that not only donates $1 to military charities for every order shipped, but named their roasts with titles like “Double Barrel Black,” “Double Tap,” and “Smooth Operator?”
Lock-n-Load buys only the best beans from reputable coffee farmers, on sustainable small farms with a track record of growing consistently high grade coffee with unparalleled taste. By buying only the best, perfectly ripened coffee beans from farmers they know and trust, they pay a premium – but the results speak for themselves.
You can also purchase coffee directly for the troops in discounted packages and Lock-n-Load will cover the shipping. This can be for a particular unit of your choice, or leaving it up to Lock-n-Load to decide. Make sure to check out their Hot Cocoa while you’re there too!
Check out Lock-n-Load Java today and tell them ITS Tactical sent you! Don’t forget to check out the ITS Vendor Discount Codes if you’re a member too, there’s a nice discount available with your first purchase and some freebies as well!

We’re thrilled to announce our newest ITS Tactical event. The Muster will be a skill-set development event held outdoors that integrates the most common skill-sets we advocate here on ITS Tactical.
Rather than simply try to convey all these skills from a computer, we wanted to bring our community together to get hands-on and learn together.
While all the details are still being finalized, we hope to have the registration information and cost for you soon. We’re shooting for mid-October right now in Central Texas, but wanted to put out plenty of notice to everyone so you can clear your calendar.
The Muster will be limited to 50 people and you’ll have to be a Life Member, Plank Owner or Crew Leader to attend. You’re going to get dirty, you’re going to be tired, but you’ll leave with more knowledge than you came with, great memories and friendships forged.
We’ve also launched a Facebook Event for the Muster, so those of you that plan to attend can keep in touch with each other.
Keeping up with a new tradition here on ITS, Matt put together an awesome infographic recapping everything by the numbers in 2011. It’s been a fantastic year and we owe it all to each and every one of you!
Hopefully everyone had a safe and happy New Year’s Eve and is as excited as we are about what 2012 holds. We’ve got big plans this year and we can’t wait to start sharing them with you!
A huge thank you to all our Life Members, Plank Owners, Crew Leaders, Crew Members, sponsors, contributors and readers! We wouldn’t be here today without all your support!
As this year draws to a close we’d like to take a moment to recognize each and every one of our readers, members and sponsors for all that we’ve been able to accomplish on ITS Tactical.
We wouldn’t be here without your support, friendship and encouragement; so we humbly say thank you.
I’d like to present a video that Rob’s been putting together with some pretty good outtakes from all our videos this year. Just goes to show that I hardly ever get it right on the first take and still swear like a sailor!
There’s definitely bad words in this, unlike all our edited videos, so this is not safe for work. It’s just a little something to give you some laughs at my expense.
Again, thank you for all that you do for ITS Tactical and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
ITS Tactical will be on a Holiday Stand Down from December 26th to January 2nd. The store will remain open during that time and orders will ship each day with the exception of December 23rd thru December 26th and December 31st thru January 2nd.
We’ve got a few things planned during the stand down, but we’ll be back full force come the 2nd with some awesome announcements!
