We just received an email this morning about our ETA Trauma Kits being used out in the field to save a life. Here’s the account of the incident from the first responder. As he states, certain details have been left off, including his name and location.
I’d like to apologize first for the lack of proper medical terminology as I’m only trained minimally and anything beyond that is self taught. Due to OPSEC I have to be brief on my story, sorry.
None the less, we were under fire, seconds felt like minutes and minutes felt like hours. Making use of rubble as cover during a rain of fire, I noticed my buddy next to me hit the ground, getting hit with what looked like two ricochet rounds. I want to start off by thanking all our Plank Owners, Crew Leaders and Crew Members who came out to spend the weekend hunting hogs, deer and even crazy meth Raccoons (more on that below!)
We all had a blast and truly enjoyed getting to share stories, eat great food and meet great friends! We’d like to especially thank our landowners Dirk and Robert for their hospitality and allowing us to hunt their land!

We’re headed out of the office and into the field for the 2nd Annual ITS Tactical Hog Hunt. It’s sure to be a blast and hopefully we’ll bag some trophies to show off! If you aren’t able to make it to the Hog Hunt but like the design of the shirts, we should have a few extras for sale when we return next week. Just keep an eye on the site for details.

With our legs screaming, our breathing fast and shallow, we continue climbing. The GPS says we’re just a few hundred feet away and while we tried to resist bushwhacking due to the waste of energy, if this gamble pays off it will net us a solid 40 points. The second most valuable checkpoint in the race.
My brother and his wife have joined me in the second ever Gear Junkie Treasure Hunt taking place in Roanoke, Virginia. It’s quite a drive from Washington, DC but it sure is scenic this time of year and the weather was absolutely perfect. [Read More…]
