Tuesday my wife and I had our first son. One of the the things I've thought about since then is what to pass down to him when I'm gone. I thought it would be pretty cool to find a revolver and have it engraved to pass down and begin a tradition starting with myself and my son. Does anybody have thoughts or ideas they could share? Any suggestions on what platform to start with?

Smith & Wesson K-frame in .357.

Though you may want to get him a heirloom AR instead, given the likely political climate when he's old enough to buy his own...
The pen is not mightier than the sword. If a man has a sword, he can make a man with a pen write anything he wants.

The answer, then, is to have a pen and a sword.

I forgot to update this thread... I ended up buying a Ruger GP100 from Gemini Customs. I'm very pleased.

My grandpa gave me a Colt Python 357 6" blued from 1960 and I will be passing it down for sure. It's a gun I rarely shoot but I love it!

That's a nice looking revolver... Very classy choice
