Eye drops (I wear contacts until I can afford Lasik)
Suunto Core
Cheap leather I.D. card wallet (I plan on purchasing a Belroy)
Zero Tolerance 350
Droid Razr
Gen 3 Glock 17 FDE with 10-8 sights, grip customized by Lane Owens @ Cold Bore Customs Katy,TX
Holstered in a Haley Strategic Incog holster ( still tweaking the carry method, One clip vs two clips)
I just need an EDC light but haven't done the research to find a good balance between tactically bright and EDC size yet. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Im just curious why do americans have a fasincation with guns? why no other self defense tools? Collapsable baton, billy club, pepper spray, even a large fixed blade knife would do in most situations.

Its too easy to pull a gun and threaten with lethal force, thats how situations escalate quickly and you have no point of return.

If you're trolling, fuck you.

If you're ignorant, none of the things you listed are any more functional than a functioning body and a small small folding blade. You avoid until your life or safety is threatened, then you dispose of the threat. That's the American way. Our country was great for centuries of living by that philosophy. I don't consider it coincidence that our culture has turned to shit in the same timeframe that the philosophy has swayed to that of appeasement.

Pulling a gun and threatening with lethal force is neither quick nor easy. Being threatened with lethal force on the other hand, is exceptionally quick.

-Surefire E2D LED Defender
-Blade-Tech Holster (for E2D)
-Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini
-Keys
-Oakley Crosslinks (Rx)
-Koyono Slimmy Wallet
-Casio G-Shock DW-6900MS-1
-California Republic Cap
-Shemagh (depending on weather)

My EDC use to consist of more but I am now temporarily in the UK (wife is working as a contractor for an aerospace firm). In the UK, it is illegal to carry a knife (which includes a leatherman) and guns are illegal to own (except for air guns and a few shotguns which are almost impossible to get your hands on).

And if anyone is curious, the streets here are NOT safer. There are stabbings reported on the news every few days and bodies mysterious appears on the side of the road. Universal healthcare here is also horrible.

Can we have a special dispensation for people from the UK? Given that guns, locking knives etc are outlawed our pockets will be at least 80% less awesome.

Well, you could get stabbed if you went to the wrong part of town at night, but a lot of the stabbings in London are between rival gangs of young idiots. Or over drugs.

Universal healthcare is not great. If you have something life threatening, treatment is generally good. If you have something non life threatening but annoying (like, say, needing a knee replaced) that's when you have to wait a few months for a fix.

There seems to be a lot of stabbings in leicestershire too. I haven't had first hand experience with the health care system here (yet) but the bbc seems to suggest that the system isn't working and on the verge of collapsing. Plus stats like you're 80% more likely to die if you're admitted on a weekend is alarming!
