I wore a casio pathfinder that my grandfather gave me for about four years as an EDC watch. I still wear it as a field watch (though I have to admit that I go to the field less and less lately...). I love Luminox, have three of them. For a while there I was wearing an oakley holeshot on a daily basis - pretty durable. Current daily watch is a Luminox 6501 automatic.

I have the 5.11 Field Ops Watch. I have had it for over a year now and works great. Part of the reasoning I wanted this watch is the ballistics calculator on it. Although this is not the first one I go to its nice to have a back up before I have to go to pen and paper. It also have three time zones which I have set to the three I have spent the most time in. The only issue that I have had was I cut through the wrist strap on a training mission but they fixed it in a week and paid for it to be fixed. However this is what I like and I have also had go experiences with the G-Shock.

I have had many watches for work or just to use over the years. My parents bought me a Skagen for christmas last year. Incredible watch. its titanium with a carbon fiber face. With it being a gift and relatively pricey I didn't want it to get scratched or anything. I went on amazon and bought myself a Seiko 5 automatic watch. It isn't anything fancy, just a black face with black canvas straps. But its an automatic, no batteries all mechanical. We all talk about bugging out and what if something happens to the government or the world. What if something does happen? batteries will be scarce, especially watch batteries, even if you found some that fit it how would you know what time it is to set your watch? food for thought.

Love that watch, but I will never own one. I could buy an entire line of Glocks for that and have enough money left over for ammo for 2 classes. I have no doubt its a fine time piece and perfect to the last detail, I just personally can't justify the price. Hope you hide enough money to get one

A RESCO is on my wish list as well. The one that is in correlation with SEAL Brandon Webb is awsome. http://rescoinstrume.../the-red-circle
