Everyone ready for the frigid weather?  I've been reviewing the family's 'heat down' planning the last two days, and will spend the snow storm tomorrow constructing a 'Get Home' bag in the event that I have to go out for something and get stuck coming back.

It's supposed to be in the mid 20s tomorrow and Monday in Oklahoma City. Average this winter has been mid to high 30s.

It's going to be single digits with ice Monday-Wednesday here. Great weather for idiots who can't drive in rain.

I finally bought a thermal base layer for legs.  I love getting to wear sweaters again, but when they're calling for negative 40s wind chilll whoah.

Are those intended to go over regular clothes?  I have no familiarity with Carhartt but like the idea of clothing backup.

I have the bibs several sizes larger them my pants and the jacket maybe one size up so I can layer for activity and weather. Yes I wear them over normal cloths or work uniforms. http://www.carhartt.com/ You can find them or similar products in outdoor stores and your large all in one marts.

Lotta cold weather wimps appearing...read a nice piece in the Atlantic online quoting from Laura Ingles Wilder about going to school after a blizzard a century ago. Suck it up, America!
