OK, after kicking it around for a bit, here is the plan for the Meet and Greet.

Im going to host it my shop in Tempe. Roughly just south of Tempe Market Center

What I don't have?  Waitresses, bartenders or booths. Or crowds, restrictions or lines.

What I do have?  A BBQ grill, tables, lots of room and place to smoke cigars.  :headbang:

Figure why not?  We can grill what ever you want.  Plenty of room to stretch out, bring your gear for show and tell, trade or sell. And yes, camo, tac pants and packing is totally fine.  And yes, its my place so more or less, so it will be just us,  consider it my garage.

We can work out who brings what, such as burgers, brawts, or beverages. feel free to list here on the thread whos coming and what you can bring?  Thinking pot luck??  I can provide a cooler and ice too.  Ill pick up a pack of burgers buns and some chips to get it started.

I do have plenty of tables and room but I admit, I  am short on chairs so please bring some along.

Im at

625 S Smith Road  Suite 1

Tempe, AZ, 85281

Start at 6 or so till when ever.  Looking forward to this

Well, go figure, I'll be out in the field on the 30th. I hope the Meet 'n' Greet goes great, smoke a couple stogies for me!

I'm flying back to town that afternoon so I should be there, I have a couple camp chairs that I will through in my truck as well I have a tailgate that makes a good seat if we are outside.

Wondering if maybe we should do a Bring Your Own (Meat, Drinks, etc.), that way if somebody says they are going to be there but then at the last minuet has to bail or no show we are not left without something? Just a suggestion/thought but I'm good either way.

I'm looking forward to it, this should be fun!

Well, downfall is I'm not getting any over time so I won't have the funds to drive out. Let me know when the range day is though DirtyTrigger, hopefully I have a new job and a more steady and bigger income where I could 'spur the moment' come out.

You're a 36 hour drive from me, otherwise I'd roll out.

However, I am certainly down to fly out for a range day. I say that the range day incorporates some grilling and stogies as well afterwards.

Submitting my memo for an RDO switch today. It took a lot of begging and pleading and unspeakable actions (morals are no longer valid) but I will now have split days off this week to attend the meet, and the class.

My flight has me landing back at PHX at 1200 on Thursday, so I'm still on board. I'll have to go into to work for a couple hours after I hit the ground but I'll hit the store and grab some stuff and I'll be there.

All in all, it turned out quite nice.  Pyscho Fish and Davis came from the ITS side,  and I invited 2 of my friends who are of similar mind set.  Davis rocked it by showing up with a complete spread for the BBQ and P Fish, brought in the beer.  In the pic, it shows what it was.  We sat around and introduced ourselves, talked about all kinds of stuff.   It was a great night.

Need to do this again for sure.

All though, I did find out the BBQ I inherited, was given to me for a reason, slowest cooking BBQ ....  ever.

It was good times. I was dog tired by the time I got there after a long day traveling so it was nice to just set down, relax and shoot the shit with like minded folks. As Dirty said, only three of us there were ITS members, but we found out that one of the other guys has been a long time reader and follower of ITS just not on the forums, so that was pretty cool. I'm looking forward to the next  meet up and hopefully we will be able to work out an ITS "meat and shoot" because whats better than putting some rounds down range and having fresh grilled dead animals to snack on. But just as a side note, we need start a money raising campaign so Dirty can get a grill for the shop that does not cook slower than a slow cooker on low... just sayin'!
