The Dress around the Gun concept is something I'm having to address. But summer is the best 10 months of the year here in Houston and especially now in the middle of July, I want nothing more then shorts and a t-shirt.

You can always go the fanny pack route ;-)

Got the 42. Decided it's a back up weapon, if things have gone that far to shit, I'd be willing to throw my damn boots at the turds. It fits nicely in my BDU pocket or in a holster on my body armor. Plus it's reliable, something my Kahr wasn't.

Nicely done... When you've put a few bricks through the pipe of your new little friend, I would be really curious to hear a mini review on it.

I second this statement. I've yet to actually hear directly from anybody that has spent time with the G42.

I put a box through the G42 I rented before I bought mine. No jams and consistent groupings the size of a silver dollar at 10'- which is about as far as I'd like to engage someone w that gun.

I'll update when I get more time on mine.

Anyone have good leads on a IWB G42 magazine holder? Considering it's only 6+1 I'd like to carry a spare mag with me.

Call comptac, I use their IWB pouch for my M&P and love it. They may not list one specifically for the Glock 42 but they have one small enough to fit the walther PPS Mag, and their customer service would probably know how that would work.

Here are a couple different links I've found that might be worth checking out.

Also, just as food for thought, you should always carry a spare magazine regardless of whether you are carrying a 6 round G42 or a 17 round full size. Remember, two is one and one is none.

In addition to the very true "two is one" rule, there are a couple of malfunctions possible on semi-auto firearms that require a second magazine to resolve. I always carry a second magazine, not only for the extra ammo, but also to help clear malfunctions quickly.
