I carry it 3:00.  The Kelley Gunleather holster is almost identical to a Milt Sparks VM2.  I can conceal it under a medium t shirt.  The holster keeps the grip tight to my side, and it's thin.  I will say that if I wear a medium shirt, you can tell I have something under it because my waist is tiny bit wider, but I'd have to be standing still and facing directy toward or away to notice, and you'd have to be looking for it.  Under a large t shirt, it conceals no problem.  When I have the double mag carrier on my left side, it balances my waist out but unless I'm in a large shirt, it's almost obvious I'm carrying because I have no belly to go with the width lol

 

As far as weight, the Spec-Ops Gear belt has been good to me, but when I was in Iraq and using it for my thigh rig I had velcro sewn on the inside with a thin flexible plastic strip to make it extra stiff and also keep my various gear from sliding.  One of these days I'm going to buy an Ares belt.

I've got two citizen eco-drives and i can't say enough good about them. i've only had one discharge past 50% SOC and it got buried under some clothes on my dresser and didn't see any form of light for 10+ days. you won't be sorry if you get one.

Yes, i wear mine face down quite a bit. the nice thing about the solar cell in the Eco-Drive is it's tuned to collect ambient light and will charge off of just about any kind of light, including incandescent and florescent lamps. My 'dress' watch lives on my dresser most of the time and it stays charged with just the lights coming thru the curtains.

The Basic EDC Carry

While many people have posted impressive collections of well thought through gear and gear that has been honed over many years, I realized that I tend to carry more basic instruments. (This is not to say that it isn't a constant process to find and acquire the finer tools.) Below is a description list:

 

• Glock 42 (with Pearce Grip Magazine Extenders).
• Spare magazine.
• Element 1 holster from Kinetic Concepts Tactical.
• Handkerchief.
• Nokia 925.
• An old Wenger Swiss Business Card Holder that I use as a wallet. (The link is the closest item that I could find.)
• A vendor give-away USB drive in credit card size. (Always in my wallet.)
• Car key.
• Miscellaneous keys with an ID tag.
• Swiss-Tech Utili-Key (kept on with my miscellaneous keys).
• Moleskin Volant Notebook (2.5"x4").
• PaperMate ComfortMate Ultra 1.0M (Very inexpensive, but grips well and stays in the pocket.)
• Columbia River M16-10Z knife.

This is my current EDC, though it is often changing in some facet. To help you visualize how I carry all this, know that I am often wearing Kuhl cargo pants and 5:11 concealment holster undershirt. It all may seem like a lot, but no one can tell that I have all this. One of the best parts is pulling the most random piece of equipment out and watching people's shocked faces. I have included the weight of each item, though there were a few items that did not even register as a tenth of an ounce. For those items I put down "dnr" for "did not register". Anyway, here is the list.

• Burner phone that is in no way connected to me / 4.5 oz.
• Classic blue bandana / .8 oz.
• O'stin black and blue merino wool beanie / 1.5 oz.
• My great grandfather's hunting belt / 11.6 oz.
• Black polycarbonate kubaton / .9 oz.
• 5.11 TMT plx pen light (90 lumens) / 2.1 oz.
• 6 in. black hockey tape containing a quickstick and ez decoder (the hockey tape is to keep the iteams from jingling and if I need to secure these or any other small iteams to my person) / dnr
• 6 ft. of black kevlar line that is 188 lb. test, secured in left sock (from ITS urban kit) / dnr
• 6 ft. black leader wire contained in maxpedition wallet (from ITS urban kit) / dnr
• 6 disposable cofee filters contained in maxpedition wallet / dnr
• Keys: car key, house key, catapillar key (in case I ever have to commandeer a tractor), and a phillips head screwdriver all contained on a black u-shackle / 2.6 oz.
• Black disposable Bic lighter / .6 oz.
• Assortment of 5 safety pins wrapped in black hockey tape, contained in maxpedition wallet / dnr
• ITS button compass (from urban kit) / dnr
• Pulsar waterproof watch / 3.3 oz.
• Micro escape tool (handcuff shim-mini saw blade) / dnr
• Metallic handcuff key, contained in right shoe / dnr
• Titanium wedding band / dnr
• Handcuff shim (from ITS urban kit) attached to large safety pin and secured on inside of front waist seam / dnr
• Bogata titanium entry tools w/ paracord sheath / dnr
• Mugger's wallet w/ change, a couple dollars, and old receipts kept in back pocket screaming for someone to take it / 3 oz.
• Karambit w/ camo handle / 5.2 oz.
• Cold Steel reacon 1 / 5.2 oz.
• Maxpedition CMC wallet customized with RFID blocking material, contains emergency cash, ID's, and previously said tools. Contained in 5.11 holster shirts (left side) / 6.7 oz.
• ITS boo-boo kit (sometimes divided into halves to divide it between pockets) / 3.9 oz.
• Glock 22 (that is the full-sizd 40. cal.) loaded with 17 rounds of hydra-shok rounds / 2lbs. 1.7 oz.
• Extra magazine loaded with 16 hydra-shok rounds Contained in 5.11 holster shirt (right side). Not shown. / 10.9 oz.
• Raven concealment vanguard 2 holster / 1.2 oz.

Total wieght : 6 lbs. 1.7 oz.
