Damn Doc. You might have just come up with a good plan there... I'm gonna look into machining a plastic rail section. Acetal will be a lot more comfortable than aluminum or steel.

I'll need to order a dovetail cutter to make this happen. I'll post pics if I ever get around to this..

Interesting concept.  Similar to Beaucoupe this seems (to me) like the plain wrist light got mixed reviews both because of essentially two-handed operation and because of the slight angle of the beam.

I hope this doesn't count as necroposting but as a watch geek this was cool... however if you just want the light and not the watch, you can get it for ~$200

Still not pocket change, but quite a bit more approachable.

The light is cool...and much cheaper than it used to be. But the watch really sets it apart and I want it.

side benefit is the thing is probably heavy enough to double as a blunt weapon..

Based on Amazon's MSRP vs actual price, these things should be well discounted if they become more available..

I had one of these surefire 2211 tested on out for a while it was a huge bulky attention getter. Never have I ever had so much attention and questions about a light or watch. It was bright as hell and very convenient, charge time was quick even charged on a portable solar charger. Battery life was good, never stuck it in water should have but didn't get the chance. But was too bulky for me and to much attention.
