In snow country, where I live, a Stormy Kromer can't be beat for warmth, water resistance, and durability.  Not everyone's cup of tea for looks though.

Classic wool watch cap., if it's really cold out and I'm gonna be outside for an extended time I bust out the fat cap.that fat cap kept me warm many a frigid day sitting in a tree stand upwards of 6 hours at a time waiting for Bambi's daddy to come out of the swamp in Jackson Michigan.

I ended up with a simple forest green Carhartt watch cap.  $10 doesn't take too much out of the bank and it keeps my dome warm.  That being said I'm still in search of something a bit weather resistant...

I have a fluffy fleece MT hardware  beannie that rocks. I'm gonna get a TAD beannie when I can. Merino Wool if I'm not mistaken.

Hey Paboisselle,

On ITS we generally try to leave long idle threads to rest in peace and this thread has been resting comfortably since 8 December 2014.

A lot of forums do this through automated lockouts, but on ITS we believe our membership can show excellent judgement and such arbitrary methods are not necessary. If you have something to add to the conversation or wish to get it started up again, you are welcome to start a new thread.

There are, of course, exceptions to this rule, in the case of our long standing discussion threads, the introduction thread, or regional check in threads, we understand that there will be long gaps in the conversation (especially in regions with little active representation). We also understand when thread starters wish to update their brothers on what has transpired since the thread was started.

Thanks for your help keeping this forum epic! If you have any questions, feel free to contact myself or the other moderators.
