Does anybody have any of the G17 mags? I know there were issues with the first batch, but I thought they were taken care of. I am interested in these for training mags due to the fact that they're super cheap.

Side Note: They're also making G19 mags starting this fall.

Wow, I actually didn't know they made Glock mags. I barely pay attention to Magpul since their mags aren't really super great or anything special for the AK and their new furniture looks like a cat vomited onto a dog's shit that was lit on fire by a kid.

I suppose I may pick up a few and give them a test, especially when I make it out to another one of DirtyTrigger's classes.

I don't like their proprietary floor plate because I really like my Vickers plates

I've been meaning to pick up a bunch of those.

What issues were these that you speak of?

I believe there were a few issues with feeding when using the G17 mags in G19s and G26s they worked perfectly in g34 and g17 pistols.  Magpul within a day or two of the issue becoming apparently immediately sent out replacement parts to everyone that had ordered magazines already to fix the issue so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I agree. I use the Vicker's plates on all my mags now. I would just use these as cheap, beater mags for training.

That's what I'm waiting for, G19 mags.

The problem I noticed with the Magpul Glock mags was they made them with no round count indicators.  I was a bit surprised by that.  I like Magpul and yeah,  I am a Glock fanboy so it seemed like a dream product....   but no round count?   Meh....  I might pick up a few just for bottom of the bag training mags or something.  But that it made more or less a no-go for me.

Being as inexpensive as they are is there any reason you can't just take a drill/dremel to the back or side and make your own round count holes? From the product pic it looks like there is already one tiny hole on the side so you can varify the mag is full.

I suppose. But I'd be afraid of weakening it. For just practice mags or even just extra " bad day" mags they will the job. Guess I'm OCD that way about the available ammo lol

I hope magpul fixes that for gen 2 and also where's the Sig love? Sig mags aren't cheap could use some reliable magpul substitutes.

Pretty much any major pistol manufacturers mags are expensive.

I know this is an old thread.  I used the Magpul G17 magazines last weekend in a 2 day Daryl Holland pistol course and they ran flawlessly.  We shot approximately 1,200 rounds and I used a total of 6 Magpul magazines.
