I like the Trijicon MRO on paper. 2 moa is nice. Battery life at medium setting is 5 years. That's nice. Water proof to 30 meters, nice. Price is listed at $493, for a Trijicon, that's great. Ambidextrous brightness controls, awesome.

Battery life at full setting is 25 days. Not great. Tapered body for "greater viewing area and situational awareness?" Well, that's a marketing tool. And a stupid one, since if you're using it correctly it shouldn't matter one bit. So that's a wash.

Longevity and durability remains to be seen. But being a Trijicon, automatic point in that arena.

I'd like to run one for a while first. Or know someone experienced who has. But it's definitely not off the table. Good call.

I'd like a 6-12 month review as well. That being said, the video haley did after taking it to the range was promising.

Quick heads up on my experience with an MRO at the 3 month mark. Other than not co-witnessing on an AK with an ultimak rail, it is hands down the best red dot I have ever used. I sold my PRO to help fund it and couldnt be happier. I will have a video up on it in a few days.

Good to know, i heard there's some distortion around the edges, whats your experience with it?

Are there any optics you can co-witness with the AK on an Ultimak Rail?  I've run both the T1 and a Primary Arms Micro dot on mine and neither match up and they are pretty low profile.

Tough to knock the MRO for that when nobody is doing it.  I'd love to put some time behind one.  Thanks for your update!

I hear folks swear their T1 does. Mine doesnt but its a sample of one.

The edge distortion thing appears to happen to some units and not others. Unfortunately I only have the 1 here. I dont have any distortion issues. Again, video is scheduled for Saturday 10DEC.

Mounted the MRO to my rifle today after work. It looks nice, and the #3 brightness setting is still bright enough to be visible when the light from my inforce wml-hsp was bouncing off the wall a few feet away. I'm glad to see someone has set out to make a real competitor to the aimpoint micros.

Finally took it to the range today to zero it. but had to leave to pick up my son before I could finish. I did discover one issue with the MRO, which is the adjustments are similar to the ACOGs as far as not having kind of subdued clicks. It wasn't hard to tell when it was clicking at home, but at a fairly loud indoor range in somewhat dim light, there were times where I wasn't 100% certain that I had adjusted my optic the right number of clicks. Once I get it locked on, however, I'm going to mark it with a paint pen so I know where I need to be if something ever bumps it somehow.
