Merry Christmas to all my brothers and sisters at ITS. I hope and pray this season finds you well. I hope you find the new year fulfilling, and I hope you all make it safely through this turmoil our county is getting deeper and deeper involved with.
To all of my brothers who have chosen to wear the uniforms of our great nation (be you fire, police, EMS, or military): I thank you from the bottom of my heart, it has not been given to me to serve this nation in that capacity, but I feel a strong bond with you as fellow sheepdogs. Stay safe, warm, and if at all possible spend it with your families. For those that cannot, I am certain you will be blessed beyond measure for your sacrifice.
To everyone: Remember your families (yeah even that crazy [Insert appropriate relative here]). Watch over them, protect them, and appreciate what you have. Be vigilant always in these dangerous times. There are those less fortunate than us who will attempt to deprive us of what we have and our very lives, but if you are prepared and you will prevail.
To our families: I know you do not understand why we are on guard at all times, why even in this festive season we remain vigilant... I know you think that sometimes we come across as cold and distant... You wonder why we park carefully in inconspicuous places, why we check the lot before unlocking the car, why we check windows and doors before entering, why we eye that person who stands out so carefully. Truth is that we care about you and take the responsibility for your safety seriously. Relax and enjoy yourselves... we will stand watch over you.
Merry Christmas! Be Vigilant and Prevail!
