so what your saying is that alot of that stuff inside VertX is removable? thats a HUGE plus. I don't like the the logo stands out in bright red...but that is an easy fix. I will definitely have to revisit it and check it out again. I am going to watch some youtube reviews too.

sorry I misled you, the laptop compartment does not come out but because of the size you're able to use it for other things. The red logo was on a "special edition" or something ... mine is all black with a black logo.

it pops up on www.dvor.com from time to time at a great price as well as other packs ...

Alot of great feed back guys. I really appreciate it. Definitely has me looking at other options. Grey Ghost seems like great quality but I am really liking the Hill People Gear too. I will let all you guys know what I end up getting. This might be a topic for a different thread but anyone know of a company that makes top quality 500D or higher Cordura duffle bags?

Goruck makes them. Though for some reason they don't have the larger one or either in black listed right now... I really like mine and was going to purchase the larger size...

Deathwatch, I thought they had them but all I can find is the kit bags. I'll look again. 5.11 has them too.

Deathwatch,

I did find this one on their site. It is 20L but i wish i knew the dimensions.  probly a bit small for a travel duffel off continent.

I own the 20L in black and its not bad for my shoes, jeans, and some spare gear... but its a day trip bag not a travel bag for me.

The Evade from Alpha One Niner has been getting solid press, should've mentioned it sooner. Not an uber tactical look either:

Corbs,

looked at the Evade. Not a bad looking pack.

Hey everyone,

Sorry for being absent. Been off grid for a few days for work. Can't digitally communicate. Stuff like that. Anywho, thanks for all the great intel and links for the thread. I have been really looking for good kit for my tac gear while on the job and travel on the job. A lot of great companies out there that make top notch gear. I am an organized person but a lot of prefab pockets and pen holders are sometimes limiting to me and I like the idea of being able to dump it all in a quick hurry if I need to.

I have been in contact with Brook at Hill People Gear and they have provide superb customer service. Excellent company in my opinion. Yesterday I purchased a Hill People Gear Tarahumara Pack. In addition I will be purchasing a Umlindi Pack as soon as they come into stock.  As soon as I get the kit and have a chance to work it out and stow my gear in it I will post photos and my thoughts on it.

On a side note, any way that I can pay for a crew leader position for multiple years? Not just one year at a time?

That would be a question for the ITS Crew, if you want to reach them you can shoot an email to [email protected] and wait for their reply.

Great choice in the end. I'm with you on prefab pockets, I like that in special purpose bags that I leave packed like my duty bag and aid bag, but not for EDC or other more changing purposes.
