I’m thinking of trying mace swinging. Curious as to what a good starter weight should be. I use a 35 pound kettle bell.

Last wish? I wish... You had... More time.

Depends on your level of fitness and your experience with maces. 7 to 15 lbs might be a good place to start. Onnit is a great place for equipment and instructional videos.

i'm a little late to the discussion here, but i'd start with the 7 to 10 lb range. i started with a 15 and it was WAY to heavy for me. the movements are very different from anything you've done (even with KBs). start light and you'll be fine.

i second Onnit! their downloadable videos are $5 each and their "Academe" area has tons of workouts.
