The Combat Application Tourniquet® utilizes a durable windlass system with a patented free-moving internal band, to provide true circumferential pressure to the extremity. Once adequately tightened, bleeding will cease and the windlass can then be locked into place.

Each Combat Application Tourniquet® features the red tip design, making it easy to spot and begin application.
Once the C-A-T® is locked into place, the hook and loop windlass retention strap is then applied, securing the windlass to maintain pressure during casualty evacuation. The CAT® Tourniquet’s dual securing system avoids the use of screws or clips, which can be difficult to operate under stress or when fine motor skills are compromised.
