Foot Care: Treat Your Feet the Right Way to Avoid Blisters

Foot Care Featured

If you suffer from blisters when putting in the miles on a hike or ruck, take the tips in today’s video to heart. Bryan explains why foot care always starts with selecting quality footwear and discusses a few additional small items that make all the difference.

After you’ve got the gear on lockdown, the best thing you can do is treat your hotspots with pre-cut strips of Leukotape. Treating the hotspots as soon they start can help you avoid blisters entirely. As Bryan mentions in the video, one of the best things you can do overall is give your feet time to rest and dry when possible.

In addition to these tips, consider keeping some paracord on hand to replace broken laces and learn to tie your boots the Mountaineering Way. This method will help lock your heel into the boots and avoid unnecessary friction in the first place.
