    Bryan,

I would guess you haven’t had the chance to shoot that new suppressor yet but I’m curious to know why you chose a QD attachment system for your precision rifle. From what I’ve read QD mounts aren’t great for that style of shooting as they have a greater change to the POI from shot to shot. (this information is pieced together from old forum posts and gun shop talk over the years with no personal experience)

I’m curious to see if you are planning on running next years mammoth challenge with the can or not and either way why.

    • penguinvii I haven’t yet, but your concern echoed my concern. I too was (and still am) nervous about the POI shift with a QD attachment vs. direct thread. I reached out to Dead Air to ask questions about this in particular before I went with the Sandman-S and didn’t think I’d have anything to worry about. I’ll definitely be following up on Gear Tasting after I have the chance to shoot it. I’m confident my DOPE will change, which is normal running a can vs. without, but time will tell on the POI shift. That will determine whether I’ll run it at Mammoth, that and if I want the added weight.
