Why You Should Wash Your Hands Like a Doctor

By The ITS Crew

No piece of gear protects you from getting sick better than properly washing your hands and avoiding touching your face. To wash your hands correctly, thoroughly wet them with water and apply enough antibacterial soap to cover the entire surface. Rub your hands together palm to palm and then rub the back of each hand using the palm of the other, with your fingers interlaced.

Next, rub your palms together with fingers interlaced, then rub the back of your fingers against the opposing palms. For your thumbs, use a rotating movement with the opposite hand. Now rub the tips of your fingers in a circular motion on the opposite palm of each hand.

Finally, rub each wrist with the opposite hand and rinse your hands with water. Don’t forget to turn off the tap with your elbow or a dry, clean cloth to avoid contaminating your clean hands. This whole process should take between 30-45 seconds and it’s one of the most helpful things you can do to avoid becoming sick.
