These photos were sent over to us in an email from a reader, in what looks to be a Border Patrol bust of a vehicle carrying two round hay bales containing drugs.
We were pretty impressed with the ingenuity of the smugglers and wanted to share the photos below, as we have many Law Enforcement Officers that frequent the site.
Around here in Texas, vehicles containing hay bales are extremely common, and now I’m always going to wonder when I see one on the back of a truck!

I also have heard of individuals (growers in America) getting tipped off of helicopter drug sweeps. They just quickly cut the plants at the ground and bailed them up in round bales with very opaque plastic wrap. They then hauled it away. I feel sorry for the poor guys who unknowingly haul this stuff sometimes.
Wow, that definitely makes you think twice.
