Blue Force Gear DAP Discreet Case

By The ITS Crew

BFG DAP Discreet Case 01Blue Force Gear has just released their DAP (Denied Area Pattern) Discreet Case, and we’ve had a chance to buy one and kick it around for a bit.

The DAP Discreet Case is designed to carry either an assembled 11.5″ M4 style weapon or a broken down 16″ Carbine. It has a removable padded divider in the case to protect the broken down components, a small slot pocket for storing paperwork or small parts, and a hook & loop field for ID patches.

BFG DAP Discreet Case 07We put our 10.5″ LWRCi into the case and the fit was just right, even with the Magpul MOE stock out one click like it’s carried. The front, back and bottom of the case all have padding sewn between the Cordura layers and the interior features a padded lip that protects everything around the zipper of the case.

You’ll see in the photos that we put both a 10.5″ LWRCi and a broken down 16″ POF Carbine into the case and they fit wonderfully.

After each photo showing a weapon inside the case, a photo is show of what the case looks like zipped up housing the weapon.  There’s almost no bulk in either weapon configuration.

BFG DAP Discreet Case 06One modification we made is to snip the zipper pulls off with some dikes, and replace them with 550 cord. This is purely a personal preference though.

Included with the  DAP Discreet Case  was a 2″ printed Multicam webbing strap with Fastex clips that can secure to two plastic d-rings sewn onto the case.

The case measures  28″ x 10″ x 2  1/2″, the small pocket measures 10″ x 7  3/4″, and the loop velcro on the outside of the case measures 4″ x 6″.

We’re really impressed with this case, and Blue Force Gear has found a niche in the weapon case market, as there doesn’t seem to be a small discreet case like this offered anywhere.

The DAP Discreet Case is available in  UCP, Black, Ranger Green, Coyote, Khaki, Multicam, Burgundy, Royal Blue, and Emerald Green.

UPDATE: We neglected to mention that  Military Morons designed a compact carbine case (C3) for  i-Shot that was introduced around two years ago, and was the first case designed to carry a broken down AR15. These have just become available again, so give them a look too.
