Forgot where I saw this, but figured I'd post it for everyone else. I intend on picking up a few. I really dig the design.

Yes it's a legit link, just looks strange.

I jumped on that bandwagon when they were running the crowd sourcing campaign.  I'm expecting mine to arrive soon.  I'll be sure to let you guys know what I think of them.

I think that's a phenomenal idea, I'll probably be picking up a couple packs as I can already foresee losing a dozen in the washing machine  :beat:

I like how it says intended for law enforcement, military and trained security professionals yet anyone can get one. Genius.

In all reality, anyone can get a cuff key, even high security keys. That being said, double lock, and watch your prisoners closely. If they start bouncing around and not sitting still, pull them out and check the cuffs. You really want to screw with someone, slap a tiny piece of tape over the key hole, dang thing all but disappears when you are cuffed behind the back and trying to feel for it!

That being said, I too jumped in on this project and hopefully should be getting mine soon too. I hope.

I found this cool cuff key that you crimp on to the end of a boot lace , it comes with a rubber grommet that slides over it  to further conceal it .

If you find yourself restricted  in a belly chain , it is easier to reach your shoes with less notice than to reach behind your back .

I hope none of us ever need to use this .   Just sayin .....

That I like. Can you post a link to where you found it at? I would be really interested in picking up some of these for all of my shoes and boots.

Hahaha, Newegg of all places. I love that store. 2 weeks to ship? More like 4 days.

That is cool. I already have a key that hides in my duty belt keeper but thats another cool tool to add in. Think I will also be ordering some. Thanks for telling us about that.

That's a nice idea, another reason why I use hinged cuffs. Besides, key hole should be facing away from the hands. I keep a hidden one on my person at all times and most people aren't conscientious enough to worry about key hole positioning when applying the cuffs.

Coming into this as a civillian i always wondered about keeping a cuff key as a EDC. As a boring civillian i figure if i need it im truly going to need it, but what are my chances? If i was around cuffs all day i could see the need. Though it wouldnt be a bad idea to have a few scattered around the house and vehicle, maybe one in my wallet, maybe one...guess ill be ordering a few. :P

How about using a regular cuff key duct taped to the inside of your belt at the middle of your back ? If your cuffed in back this would be the ideal place that you could get to while cuffed. Shhhh. Lol.

True, when I first started I had the hidden cuff key that is inside of your keepers, kind of the same deal. These though, are suposed to be non-metalic so that "they" can wand you and not find it. I'm not sure how many bag guys carry a metal detector though! In all reality, they were suposed to be metal in the begining, but among the first updates they were changed to plastic due to cost reasons.
