I heard about the earthquake/tsunami warning earlier today at work. Hope all you guys are holding up and unaffected.

I just did some reading and the biggest tsunami wave was 7.5 inches high. Still, 7.9 is a massive sized earthquake. We've been getting tons of earthquakes here in Oklahoma (as many as California) and the USGS issued an Earthquake Advisory not too long ago (first time ever east of the Rocky Mountains) for an anticipated large scale earthquake in the Oklahoma City metro area.

Earthquakes can be really different. The Northridge quake in '94 lifted the entire valley floor and dropped it something like 13 feet. One of my friends found their baby grand in the pool. Across the music room, family room, through the French doors, across the patio.

Be safe in Alaska and Oklahoma. Darn shame to worry about Tornados, Ice Storms and Earthquakes.
