Streamlight ProTac 1L. Loving it, although it gets a little finicky at times. May send it in and have them check it out.

Clean it. Clean the threads and lube them with silione grease.

Take a pencil eraser and clean the battery contact in the head

Yeah. Kind of weird that it is being intermittent. I've changed the battery once, maybe twice. Hasn't been exposed to the environments too much.

The primary light I carry out side of work is a streamlight pen light because its small, but I prefer and carry at work a LensLight KO, the adjustability makes it a winner. My backup is a SureFire C2 with a Malkoff drop in (if you have an old incan SF you need to check this guys work out, his drop ins are highly acclaimed on candlepowerforums).

Lots of good lights mentioned here . Been carrying an Surefire E1 for years , from time to time it will slip down in my pocket and come on . I notice when I feel a camp fire burning lol . Anyone have custom kydex sheaths for theirs or maybe molded to a magazine pouch ?

Why don't you lock it out?

Its an older model with no lock out . Thinking its time for upgrade , seen some nice ones suggested here . Fenix lights are looking pretty tempting .

I carry the 5.11 ATAC A2. 162 lumens at its brightest and has a cool strobe setting. Didn't need much more than that at present.

Right now a Surefire G2X tac. It's a bright 320 lumens light, but I should've picked up the Pro dual-output model for EDC purposes instead. My retinas are no longer a fan of using that flashlight to look for something in my truck at night. I usually use my Streamlight Nano on my key ring.

thank you for the recommendation! I have two incan SFs, 12yr old Z2 (65 lumens) and M3 (200? lumens).  id like to upgrade them instead of replacement.

anyhow, my EDC light is SF P2X (500 lumens)

I used to use a Surefire G3 but it got stolen last year in the 'stan, had it since my 05 Deployment. Then I used this Pelican light but the bulb died ,and it's too expensive to replace so I Started using a Gerber Infinity Ultra Task Light, in Red.

When I do my EDC dump I'll have a good size comparison pic

At work, or if I'm not going to be back home before dark, I'll take my Klarus XT10. Since it's a little bulky, I usually stick to a Foursevens Mini MA, but then again, thats only if I know I'm going to be in buildings (as opposed to outside or in a car) for the majority of the day or if I'm wearing a suit. Generally I'm really picky about carrying a light.. I like to keep my pockets light and streamlined.

Nitecore srt5 is my edc off duty..love it...on duty I use a sure fire g something with 200 lumens press.( switch rubber is all split mind) and my backup on my belt is a protac 600 lumens (nice flood). Plus a quik lite on my shirt for writing notes and tickets at night.

Need to update my flashlights but switching from uniform to a suit soon so need to rethink my edc.

I need something better it seems after seeing some of the above flash light porn above....

I've had for years a couple of Mag Lites, a small AA battery type I keep in my console with extra bulbs. In the trunk, a 4-D cell which is pretty bright. I have spare bulbs for that too.

Latest carry is the SureFire E1D LED Defender. They seem to have toned down the strike bezel a bit from their previous models, and have a newer pocket clip design, so it's definitely more EDC-friendly. Output is in the neighborhood of 300 lumens on high, and 5 lumens on low mode. The icing on the cake is that it runs on a single CR123 cell.
