I have an old extremely talented friend trying his hand at EDC multi-tools that you may be interested in.

Among the many things that Jim does, he started a Kickstarter project that is right up our alley.

Looks awesome and useful tools in a small package! Backed at the titanium level.

For what it's worth, I contacted him with a couple questions. Had a response within a couple hours, then a follow up response soon after. In my mind, that instills a bit of confidence in the man.

Here's what he sent (comms via kickstarter):

James C Spiroff says:

Dave,
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I hope to have a picture pointing out the details in a few days. I should have had that from the beginning. In testing my prototypes, and quite frankly about a dozen other brands of multi-tools, we found many of the "features" don't work that great. So I wanted to simplify it a bit to the items that worked great.
Thanks,
James

Follow up:

James C Spiroff says:

Dave, I updated the story page and added a rendering with the feature call outs. Thanks for the advise. James

I'll be backing this soon I think.

Jim's a good guy and every time I think he's done his thing he starts another project.

I honestly don't know how he has the time.

I never do kickstarter backing, but this one seems cool and with you vouching for him... I might just buy in.

Just shy of his goal with 21 days to go... there's certainly interest!

Let's try to get a couple more from these forums to bump him over his goal!

Thanks again everyone!

So an update on this, I received the email on final options for finish. I went with the natural finish. Can't wait to get this thing!

I'm curious to hear what you guys think.. I'll pass on any comments in case there are plans for future production changes.

Looking forward to receiving mine. I think I got two, really can't remember. I'll have to check. But last update I can recall said they were off to final finishing. So should be soon.

And don't worry, I'll be looking, and inventing, reasons to use it.

Edit: just checked. I only got the titanium tiger shark. Anodized bronze. Oh, and a post card.

So we'll see how I can abuse this thing when it comes.

Came home to two packages. One from Florida. Hmmmmmm. Open it and it's my Sharktooth! It's first order of business was to open the other package, my ITS challenge Coin. Prevail!
