Stippling, especially home jobs, seem to catch a ton of flak. I don't give a shit. So I hereby present 3 gen 4 glocks I've done.

Exhibit A: my G23. I hate finger grooves, and I love rough texture. I have rough man hands that can take a beating from a gun, not well lotioned, soft girlie hands that would prefer a cushioned rubber grip. So I dremeled off the finger grooves, sanded off all the stock texture, penciled my outlines, and went at it with my wood burning tool. Oh, and I gave it a mild undercut on the trigger guard.

It was bad ass. It looks and feels good. Ruined the resale value? My guns are work guns son! They aren't gonna get sold. I loved it so much, I did up my *gasp * UNFIRED G43.

Yep, gave the 43 a more aggressive undercut, so I can fit a little more of my manly hand on the grip without the pinkie extension. Sanded off the texture, lined it up with pencil, and went at it again. Ef yeah. It feels solid and looks good. Recoil should be more manageable. The stock grip was slick even with dry hands. Add a little sweat and it was like holding a bar of soap.

For good measure, I also threw in a ghost connector and gave all the internals a polish job. It's a whole new gun.

Showed it to one of our detectives. He liked it so much he had me do his. Only he asked me to keep the glock logo, lest someone confuse it with a Taurus or a Ruger I guess. Bam!20150612_092807_zpsec2tsan3.jpg

Looks good, I'd say it's on par with a lot of the professional jobs I've seen.

I did a finger groove removal on my 19. Best thing I ever did to the gun

Am I the only one that just can't get into the stippling?

I only did it where I removed the finger grooves because I didn't have any other way of texturing it.

I did skate-tape around the front strap of my 1911, with Crimson Trace grips, it's a really nice combo.

Always fun going to the skate shop to buy gun parts :)

It looks good and most do, but I could never do it to any of mine. I'm gonna get a set of Talon ruberrized grips for my Sig P320c.

OP mentioned his method... how'd you do this one?

Love the idea,  may consider it for my SW Bodyguard, but I need to shoot it first!

Looks outstanding! I've been toying with the idea of doing this on my shield and my full size m&p but havent grown the cajones yet ...for now i just went the talon grip route ... i've also been thinking of polishing the internals and have been reading up on how to take things down.

If I can get the gun to you, what would you charge for an identical job as the 23 done on my 19? Very interested if you are, just need to see about getting you the gun.
