I work in an office at a major corporation, so I usually wear khakis and button up. The only things on my belt is my phone and company ID. Everything else is awkwardly jammed into a pocket. This is not only uncomfortable but having bulging pockets looks odd too.
I've had pretty good success with the 5.11 khakis over the past few years. These have secret pouches in the thigh, and larger pockets than usual. I am open to more options though because these are going to wear out here probably by the end of this year (I'm also loosing my belly which necessitates smaller clothing).
My usual EDC items are wallet, phone, knife, keys, pocket trauma kit, flashlight, tourniquet, notepad and pen, and handgun where allowed. That's a lot to cram in and still look like an average office worker!

At work, I wear BDUs, so it's not an issue.

I end up juggling between on person carry and in bag carry. I’ve been experimenting with moving things out of pocket as well. I’ve started using a ankle mounted first aid kit, which lets me carry a decent amount of life saving gear. I have a SPIE kit mounted to my belt with black one wrap so it’s decently discrete. I have my EDC pen in a shirt pocket. Gerber hinderer in my right pocket. Depending on situation I may carry a Matriarch or Covert folder in my left. My EDC light is usually in my bag, since I have a Fenix light in my ankle first aid.
Sometimes I’ll use a leather man tread as a watch band as well. Most people don’t notice.

In the last few months I decided to stop wearing slacks to work. I just wear dark denim now with the same business casual shirts (button down, long sleeve), and it works. I guess maybe I'm burned out, but I used to think I needed to wear slacks, lol. Instead of lace up dress shoes I've been wearing Red Wing Iron Rangers since Christmas. I've been thinking about getting back into some cotton khakis.
My EDC is pretty much the same every day. If I have my shirt tucked in, as I often do, I don't carry a pistol. If it's untucked I carry a pistol (Glock 43 in Appendix). Aside from that, despite liking EDC stuff and loving the idea of carrying lots of stuff I actually can't stand to feel the things in my pockets rubbing my legs or butt.
So here's what's in my pants!
Left front pocket - Smartphone in a minimalist cover
Right front pocket - Streamlight Microstream, Victorinox Super Tinker, Key Fob and 2 door keys on a Tec Accessories P7 Suspension Clip, Kershaw Leek.
Right rear pocket - Bi-Fold leather wallet (DL, CHL, auto ins. card, health ins. card, 2 BandAids, debit card, credit card, Sam's Club card, Fresnel lens, Bogota Mini Ti rakes, cash, hideway [hard to get to] cash, TIHK clipped in the fold). People are really into minimalists wallets now, but despite having that stuff it's neither messy looking nor thick.
Left rear pocket - Folded, white handkerchief.
Shirt pocket or clipped in Left front pants pocket if I don't have a shirt pocket - Zebra F-701 Pen.

I guess I have to balance the items I carry with me vs the items in my bag (which remains at my desk even when I am out in other parts of the building). The concern is if I have to rapidly evacuate the building I won't have time to swing by my desk to get my bag.
In this case, I may have to duplicate some items from my bag into my car. And I hate duplication, simply because if I have multiple of something, it becomes harder for me to keep track of where each one is. Additionally some items expire or need batteries changed so that makes duplication even less attractive to me.
